“For some local children their school dinner is the only hot meal of the day. During the holidays struggling families simply can’t afford enough food, so they’re often eating unhealthy options or even nothing at all.

We want to make sure these children have enough to eat. Money raised for Cash for Kids Day will help reach out, with fun activities and that important meal during the holidays.”

In support of Cash For Kids, Thorne Travel hosted an in-store charity event! We turned back the clock and embraced the nostalgia with our throwback activities and games!
– Staff participated in an 80’s themed dress down day

– Guess How Many Sweets: Customers tested their luck to guess the number of sweets in the jar for just £1 per entry! The lucky winner was rewarded with a £25 Thorne Travel Voucher

– Tacky Souvenir Competition: Customers got creative and entered our Tacky Souvenir Competition! For every entry, Thorne Travel donated £1 to Cash for Kids. Plus, the winner received 2 tickets to Blackpool Illuminations with Thorne Travel Experience!

-Tea, Coffee, and Cakes: Our wonderful customers joined Thorne Travel in all 3 branches between 2pm – 4pm for a delightful afternoon treat! Enjoying a cup of tea or coffee along with some delicious cakes for a £2 donation. It was the perfect way to support a great cause while satisfying your sweet tooth!

And here’s the best part: every single penny we raised directly supported the incredible initiatives of Cash for Kids, helping children in need across our community.
